Things to come

So I will start by talking about my weekend after I posted last weekend. First off, this has very little to do with Taiwan and may be gross, so you may want to skip the next paragraph. I got sick, very sick. Don't freak out. I am okay now. Here it goes.

I ate at one of my favorite restaurants by my house on Sunday around noon. Right after I finished my stomach started to hurt. My first thought, "Oh no! Salmonella is baaacckkkk" I took a nap for it to go away, but it just kept getting worse. Next I threw up as hard as I ever have. Passed out on my bathroom floor(which isnt the cleanest) and woke up with puke all over my face. I didn't tell my roommates because I didn't want them to be worried. Also because I am an idiot. So then I went to bed. Woke up to go to the bathroom, and on the way back to my room I passed out again on my roomies food pantry. Food went all over. I was just laying there sprawled on the floor. Nika heard the noise and came to check on me, and woke me up. Of course I said I was fine, again because I am an idiot. I then took a couple steps, knocked my food rack over, and everything on my desk off my desk. I woke up laying on my floor, clueless as to why I was there and drenched in sweat. My room was actually really cold. I was too dizzy to stand up or even think clearly but somehow I ended up back in my bed. Woke up the next morning and went to the hospital(after some convincing from my roomie) They hooked me up to an IV for over 2 hours and gave me a whole bunch of meds. They dont really know what it was, but I am better now. I would like to think it is just part of the transition back from Santa Claus to a normal person. Lemme just say, starting my week hooked up to an IV in a hospital bed is not ideal.

Anyways, I only have 5 more days until I get my first real break of the year.(4 days, woohoo) Sarah and I are going to Japan to go skiing. We fly out early Saturday morning, spend part of the day in Tokyo, then bus to the ski resort. It's a 5 hour bus ride to the resort. Sunday and Monday we will "schred the pow" aka ski. Then Tuesday, Christmas, we will fly home. I'm pretty stoked!

Then, just 3 days after I get home, my mom will arrive in Taiwan. In the words of my 2nd graders, "I am really really really really really really really really really really EXCITED to see my mom!!!!!!!!!!!"

No post next weekend, but I will post pictures and stories of Japan once I get home. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday.

Merry Christmas!
